Tóm tắt

Abstract: The experiment was carried out to evaluate effect of R/C compost made from rice straw and fermented chicken manure compost on cabbage cultivation to reduce amount of chemical fertilizer application and make clear effect of compost application methods to growth and yield of cabbage. Two-factor experiment was conducted, including compost amount which adjusted based on total nitrogen amount at 0% (100% nitrogen supplied by chemical fertilizer); 25%; 40% respectively and no nitrogen application; the application methods included spreading (S) and band (B) application. The experiment was conducted in summer season and arranged in Random Block Design (RBD), 3 replications, 8 treatments per replication. As the result, the total number of leaves, largest leaf, and head weight of cabbage showed no significant in all treatments, so it indicated that compost may supply enough nutrients to produce good head of cabbage, around 1.5 kg of head. In addition, only phosphorus and potassium application might increase yield of cabbage. Keywords: Cabbage cultivation, Compost amount, Nitrogen level, application method
